Must say that I can't stand him either. And I'm a gadget
freak and
a spy story nut. I keep on trying to read the one about the
damn sub but I
bog down about 150 pages in.
Not that this has anything to do w/ hardboiled
stuff.....although
at the rate we redefine it, I presume the list will shortly
be discussing
the noir aspects of Pearl Buck.
