You mean in the list's mostly unstated definition, or the generally
accepted meaning of "hardboiled"? I can't think right now of any
female detectives who fit the definition - Warshawski and Millhone
don't - but the writers Patricia Highsmith and Dorothy B. Hughes are
frequently mentioned.

However, the vast majority of hardboiled writing is by men and about
men.
