The hard-boiled and crime writing scene in France seems to be
healthy --
from what I've read, anyway, since I don't have one-the-scene
experience.
And the French readers seem to still crave writers from the
U.S. A good
source of info on the Net is the Polar Web site, which has
content in
French and English. Its URL is

You'll find articles, reviews and interviews. Good stuff,
including info on
French writers who don't
seem to be in print here in the good ol' U. S. of A. --
