David knows of which he speaks. His name is also mentioned in one of Ellroy's
quartet, although which one it is, escapes me at the moment.

Joe Stinson has had the movie rights to Ellroy's early novel CLANDESTINE for
years. Our mutual agent thinks that this is the year it finally gets done.
Of course, she thinks the same thing about a lot of my projects.
