Well, I am very happy for George, but I think that with this Puffy guy
involved, the movie will definitely take a different track from the novel,
one that won't be all that great. i am not an admirer of Puffy Combs, who
I believe steals other folks' songs and twists them into terrible
commercial rap. And has anyone seen the videos this guy makes? He is this
glorified hero-gangster (with his private jet and fleet of SUVs) figure in
everyone, being chased by some pseudo government agency. The last one was
a John Woo ripoff, where Puffy stops to pray at a church, and Doves fly out
of his palms. (???) And THIS guy wants to take a shot with a GREAT
literary crime novel (to me, it is) ? I really, really, really, hope he
doesn't ruin it.

I wonder how much George got for the rights?
