I consider myself a minor fan of Prather and have many of his
Shell
Scott paperbacks. While he clearly is no Dostoyevsky, his
unpretentious
and exciting adventures are great fun to read. No great
depth, no
"issues" (thank God!), funny dialogue, plenty of action, a
clear-cut
distinction between good and bad guys, and between guys and
gals, and
between good and bad gals, and books are not too long. There
are many
worse ways of spending a lazy weekend afternoon at the
beach...
How about Michael Avallone? Is he alive? Please forgive these
impromptu
connections of a tired brain...
Regards,
Mario Taboada
