Well, if you ever watched the "syndicated" show THE BOUNTY
HUNTERS you
know that these guys are not regulated by -any- state; they
are
regulated by the Feds (and sort-a like US Marshalls (who have
been
reduced to serving warrants). They are protected from kidnap
laws
because they only go after -felonys- and usually they are
simply folks
who missed a court date, or possibly had no lawyer to
"straighten things
out". In Texas courts, we can get those "bond forfeitures"
set aside
(given certain factors) so we can get the case back on track.
Of course,
my running buddy Paul Youngblood worked his way through
college as a
"recovery agent" for a bonding company, so he's been there
and done
that.
