The list is configured so that only subscribers can send to
the list.
Every now and then (and this happened to you earlier) someone
is
subscribed from one address but sending from another. This
happens
when people forward their mail from one site to another or
when a
simple address for external use (like rudy@ruritania.edu) is
mapped to
a complicated one like
(dj257ss1@lib.gpu.cc.ruritania.edu).
When this happens, I send out a generic bounce message; if
the person
can't figure out what's going on and mails me back, I explain
in more
detail.
