I can't resist suggesting a Toronto / western / hard-boiled angle
by changing the title to Hoedown on the Don.

But seriously now folks... A thought occurred to me when I was
reading this post that it would be interesting if people could think
of some seemingly unlikely locations that have actually appeared in
hard-boiled literature.
