The Archives of Detective Fiction is trying to do just this. At this point
it is in its infant stages, but it does have one book available on-line
(Anna Katherine Green--not exactly a hardboiled dame at
< http://www.esc.edu/Archives/AuthorFiles/GreenAK/GreenAK_Dir.html>). As
time goes by, this may become more of a standard on the net.
