I forgot about Gary Hardwick who is from Detroit and has two
books out;
one being COLD MEDINA. and my great good buddy, Gary Phillips
from LA,
who has the Ivan Monk PI series (the first, VIOLENT SPRING is
in
paperback and about the LA riots after Rodney King--good
stuff). Have
you tried Walter Moseley (although I am a little tired and
understand
that he is not going to write any more of the "colored"
series
commencing with DEVIL IN A -BLUE- DRESS)and if you can, check
out Gary
Neibaur's P.I.E.S. site he deals with Private Eyes
only.
