I thought the movie was one step below great. There was one
thing they could
do to make it better: Kill White off. (By saying this I am not
spoiling the
movie.) The movie has too much of a happy ending for the type
of movie it is
supposed to me. Killing White off would possibly make it maybe
a close third
to Chinatown. The idea of a reconsiliation between White and
Exly doesn't
skrike me as what Ellroy orginally wrote. Correct me if I'm
wrong about that.
