RARA-AVIS: Howard Browne

The Howard Browne novels I've read are _Thin_Air_, which was
okay, and
_Taste_of_Ashes_, which was an excellent Chandler pastiche,
proving that a
novel can be marvellously executed without being in any way
innovative.
