Re: RARA-AVIS: first person narrative

Sun, 3 Aug 1997 20:36:41 -0400 (EDT) I'm fairly new to the list and I'm not really sure of the scope and
definition of the topic "first person narrative"; I've always felt that in
detective fiction, Ist person seems to be the norm, since it is easier for
the writer to control the action etc. One author who uses Ist person for both
plot and character development is Walter Mosley, the Easy Rawlins' narrative
does offer insight in race, the sixties, etc.

Any response?
