I don't know if Luhr is responsible for the Chandler book, but there is a
book with a very similar title, *Raymond Chandler on Film* by Stephen
Pendo. It's not *that* good. (it's Pendo writing about one film per
chapter, topped and tailed with a conclusion and a not-very-good
introduction)

The Luhr book on *The Maltese Falcon* is pretty good, though: it collects
together a range of material which anyone interested *TMF* may've seen some
of before, but there's a good chance that most of this stuff will be new to
most readers. A large section of the book provides a continuity script for
Huston's 1941 film. There's Rudy Behlmer's excellent article from *The
Making Of ...* and the John Naremore essay from *Literature/Film
Quarterly*. There's a few reviews of Huston's film (Agee, Bosley
Crowther), including two by Nino Frank, translated from French into
English. There're also a couple of essas about the three fillm versions of
the falcon. There's other stuff too. All in all, an indispensible work
for the falconophile.

Yes, issues 5 & 6 are out.
As far as availability goes, I'd say that iIt's difficult to get *Crime
Time* in the near east too ;-)
#7 has yet to arrive at Waterstones, Ipswich.
They are taking an issue at a time (apparently) and the rep hasn't been
yet, so they've not ordered issue 7! Is it the publisher/distributor or is
it Watersones?

Anyway, I reckon *Crime Time* is pretty good, and if you can get it, check
it out.
