I just remembered that Mickey Spillane came out with a new Mike Hammer
book late last year, _Black Alley_.  Kind of surprising he - Spillane
- isn't dead yet, to say nothing of Hammer.  Has anyone read it?  I'm
a Spillane fan, but you have to admit some of his books, like the
Tiger Mann series, are pretty ludicrous.  I'm wondering if this one
stands up to the earlier Hammers.
