The Ace reprint of Flora's novel KILLING COUSINS has this
bio:
Fletcher Flora was born in Parsons, Kansas, in 1914. He
received a B.S. degree from Kansas State College in 1938 and
did graduate work at the University of Kansas. The author
served with the 32nd Infantry Division on New Guinea, Leyte,
and Luzon. Following his discharge, he found a job teaching
military prisoners at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Currently, he
lives with his wife and three children in Leavenworth where
is is Education Advisor of the United States Disciplinary
Barracks.
Flora is the author of several mystery novels and many
magazine stories. He has won special awards in Ellery Queen
Mystery Magazine short story contests.
If I can find my hardback copy of KILLING COUSINS, I will
check to see if it has any additional bio information. I
doubt it does.
