Dennis wote:
"I'm glad you liked both the Collins and Sadler
series."
Very much. I picked up one of the Playboy Press Dan Fortune
reprints, then had to track down the rest of them to that
point, the kept up with the series from then on. Picked up
the Sadlers during their last reprinting.
"Have you tried the William Arden and John Crowe?"
I have one Crowe book, Bloodwater, but I'm pretty anal about
reading series in order, so I haven't read it yet. I looked
for other, and any by William Arden in two used bookstores
during the last week, but didn't found any. One of these
days, I'll have to check ABE.
"Hope you enjoy UPTOWN DOWNTOWN, but remember that it's a
mainstream novel, and semi-autobiographical. The title wasn't
my choice. I called it MAN WITH GUITAR."
Oh, I realized that from the cover copy. I'm pretty
interested in the
'60 Village scene, so I'm looking forward to it (after I
finish the current book I'm reading).
"That clear up anything?"
Yes, thanks.
"With luck, PontBlank is going to reissue many of my books
under the name of Dennis Lynds writing as . . ."
Is it too soon to say which series might be drawn from?
