While writing his Travis McGee series, John D. McDonald was
also writing other books, most with a suspense thrust.
I was lucky enough to pick up about a half dozen of these in
a second hand bookstore for a quarter a piece about ten years
ago.
He was not just a good myserty writer, but a good writer, and
well ahead of his time on social and environmental
issues.
